Colonial Heights Appomattox River Trail System
The Colonial Heights Appomattox River Trail is currently a two mile paved trail that runs along the Appomattox River with a lovely outlook partially through the trail. There are two main entrances to the trail. One entrance is at Rosyln Landing located off of Charles Dimmock Parkway, which has boat ramp and a great place for fishing. The second entrance is at Appamatuck Park, which is located off of Archer Avenue and features a canoe and kayak launch. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the beauty of the Appomattox River.

Keystone Antique Truck and Tractor Museum is Colonial Height’s hidden gem. Its unique and diverse collection of not only Tractors, but classic cars, antique fire trucks, local vintage advertising posters, and more is a must-see. The vast museum is over 125,000 square feet and owner Keith Jones’ collection continues to grow. Plan your visit today!

Tri-City Chili Peppers
The Tri-City Chili Peppers are a collegiate summer baseball team playing in the Coastal Plain League. The team plays its home games at Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Shepherd Stadium was named after Fred H. Shepherd, who served as Mayor in 1928 and was instrumental in establishment of the Park.


Fort Clifton Festival in May
Fort Clifton is set on 24 acres overlooking the Appomattox River. Fort Clifton is listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register and was named to the National Register of Historic Places by the Virginia Research Center for Archaeology in 1981.Arts and crafts persons sell a variety of hand made items. Civil War relic exhibits are on display, and children's rides and concessions are available each day of the festival.
Christmas Parade
The Annual Christmas Parade of year’s past evokes fond memories for many long-time residents of Colonial Heights and neighboring communities.The nighttime parade is managed by the City of Colonial Heights and is a unique event that draws people from all over the Tri-Cities area.
